LAHORE, Aug 10: Machinery worth millions of rupees was gutted after a fire broke out in a steel mills on Bund Road near Kroll Ghatti here on Friday.
According to Rescue 1122, the fire erupted at the electrical panel of the mills owned by Tahir Shahzad.
The firefighting squad extinguished the blaze after hectic efforts.
In Raiwind, a cloth shop caught fire due to a short circuit.
Quoting the shop owner, Rescue officials said he suffered a loss of Rs2.2 million. It took firefighters about three hours to control the fire.
