CHITRAL, Aug 14: The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) will channelise the potential and efforts of the youth by strengthening the newly formed district youth forum.

Addressing a session of the forum, the manager of AKRSP Fazle Malik said it was high time to turn to youth who had hitherto been neglected.

He said district youth forum would be an umbrella organisation of all the youth bodies functioning for the amelioration of youth in different valleys of the district and in different sectors of development.

He said the AKRSP had always rushed to the help of the neglected segments of the society and it was in this context that a project was launched by AKRSP for the political and financial emancipation of women in Chitral and now youth project was also on the anvil.
