SECP commissioner appointed
August 18, 2012 by A ReporterISLAMABAD, Aug 17: Zafar Abdullah has been appointed Commissioner Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
With this appointment the number of commissioners at the corporate sector regulator has risen to five for the first time since 2006.
Mr Abdullah, a bachelor degree in commerce from Karachi University and a fellow of the ICAP, has a vast experience in areas of assurance and audit, financial advisory and corporate advisory.
His last assignment was as Company Secretary and Head of Legal Division with Faysal Bank Limited.
