LAHORE, Aug 18: A man in his 40s was poisoned to death allegedly by some unidentified people on Multan Road here on Saturday.

Chuhng police said Nasir Masih found unconscious along the road was transported to a hospital where he died. Police suspected the man might have been intoxicated. The body was shifted for an autopsy.

NO ARREST: Sabzazar police failed to arrest a criminal who along with his accomplices shot dead a 38-year-old realtor near his Sabzazar residence on Saturday.

Police inquiries revealed that Zahid Hussain of M-Block came out of his house to get his car checked when Zahid Sunyara and his accomplices injured him with a gunshot fire. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

Shahid told police that his brother helped police in arresting two brothers Zahid and Tahir. He said Zahid Sunyara had been hurling life threats to his brother after being released from the jail.

Police handed over the body to the family after an autopsy.

DIES: Yakki Gate police shifted the body of around 70-year-old man to Mayo Hospitals morgue on Saturday.

Police suspected the man, unidentified so far, apparently died in a road accident.
