RAWALPINDI: A retired army man lost his children—a son and two daughters—when wall of their room collapsed in heavy rain on Wednesday, police said.   

The incident happened in Mateel in Kotli Sattian police area. Kaleequz Zaman, 16, Ms Sanam Nawaz, 12, and Maimoona Nawaz, 6, were asleep when the wall collapsed with a bang on them burying them alive.

On hearing the rumbling, Amed Nawaz and his wife rushed to their rescue but to no avail.

When contacted, SHO Khalid Satti said that nobody else was injured during the incident as the children were sleeping in a separate room. Police and villagers removed the debris and pulled the children’s bodies out. —Staff Reporter
