ISLAMABAD, Aug 23: A teenager was murdered and another injured by the sons of a retired DSP after they allegedly failed to molest them here on Thursday, police said.

The victim was the son of an assistant sub-inspector, stationed at Aabpara police station, also the area where the crime was committed.

After registration of the case, police succeeded in arresting one of the accused, U.T., from Rawat.

Quoting the injured, J.K., 17, son of an official of Wapda, Aabpara police said the accused U.T. and H.T., sons of the DSP, along with their friends N.K., M.K. and S.U. took him and M.K., 16, to the house of one of the accused.

The accused after overpowering them tried to molest M.K. but he put up resistance which annoyed them. After a brief scuffle one of the accused pulled out a pistol and fired two shots at M.K. from point-blank, killing him on the spot.

The police said later they detained J.K. in a room and took away the body of his friend.

After a few minutes they again came to the house and took J.K. to Banigala and tried to molest him, but he too put up resistance.

Again the accused fired two shots, one in the chest but the other hit his hand.

Assuming him dead, they left the place, the police said, adding but he survived and succeeded in reaching the main road  and sought help from a car driver who brought him to Banigala police station.

However, the driver immediately left after disembarking the injured near the main gate of the police station at around 1:30am. Seeing the injured at the gate a sub-inspector informed his senior who took him to the hospital where he was given medical assistance.

After regaining consciousness, he narrated the incident to the Banigala police.

The Aabpara police had already registered a complaint about the disappearance of M.K. in their daily diary.

After getting information, the Aabpara police launched a search which led to the recovery of M.K.’s body from a school in G-6/4.

The police said the victims and the accused knew each other.

Separate cases were registered against the accused in Aabpara and Banigala police stations.
