KARACHI, Aug 24: Three young men were found shot dead in different parts of the city on Friday, police said.

They said that the body of a young man stuffed in a gunny bag was found in the old city area near KMC Workshop, Ranchhore Lines.

The victim had been shot thrice in the chest and head.

He was identified as Siraj Baloch, 27.

Mushtaq Baloch, the victim’s brother, told the police that his brother, who had come to Lyari from Hub to meet some relatives on Thursday evening, was kidnapped. He was a resident of Hub Chowki and was doing some business.

A case (FIR 179/2012) was registered against unidentified persons at the Eidgah police station.

In the second such incident, the body of a young vegetable seller was found in Gulistan-i-Jauhar.

Police said that they were informed about the presence of a body near a private school in Gulistan-i-Jauhar Block-2. They reached the scene and shifted it to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The victim was identified as Abdul Qayyum, 28. He had been shot in the head.

The police suspected some personal enmity as a possible motive for the killing.

They said that he was unmarried and a resident of Surjani Town’s Khuda Ki Basti.

An unidentified man found wounded near M. A. Jinnah Road died at the JPMC during treatment on Friday.

The Aram Bagh police said the young victim was found near Jama Cloth Market and was rushed to the Civil Hospital from where he was referred to the JPMC, where he died during treatment.

The police quoting some area people said that two armed men on a motorcycle had brought the victim with them to the spot. They made him stand in a narrow lane and shot him in the chest and head.

Watchman killed

A watchman was killed and his brother was wounded in Surjani Town on Friday.

Police said that two men barged into a chemical factory and attacked Rahim Bukash, 40, and his brother Abdul Rasheed with batons when they challenged them.

Following the attack, the suspects managed to escape. The two men were rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where Rahim Bukash died during treatment. The victim hailed from D.I. Khan.

The police suspected personal enmity as a likely motive.

Stabbed to death

A young man was killed in what the police described as a fight between two friends in Korangi on Friday.

Police said that the incident took place in Gharib Nawaz Colony, Sector 34/E, where Salman Bengali and Jaseem Bengali had an altercation over some monetary matter.

They said that Jaseem attacked Salman with a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed him multiple times.  The victim died on the spot, while the suspect managed to escape. However, the police managed to arrest him later.
