PESHAWAR: Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) on Tuesday has been installed at Pak-Afghan Torkham border to prevent entry of terrorists in Pakistan, DawnNews reported.

The new IBMS was installed at 121 entry and exit points including Torkham border and the system was linked with Interpol, Passport, National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The system will help Pakistan to prevent the entry of terrorists in the country.

The IBMS will deter people from travelling on stolen passports and will also empower the authorities to take action against foreigners whose visas have expired.

Earlier, the modern Integrated Border Management System was also installed at Bacha Khan International Airport.

The experts trained the staff to install the system at Pak-Afghan Torkham border.

COMMENTS

  1. A great joke with the people of Pakistan, people who have travelled and visited the area know that these border crossing points are just used by 1 out of 100 travelling between Pak and afghanistan. Need not to mentioned that one need to pay only Rs 300 to FC soldier to let one pass through. If someone does not believe me they should visit the border or ask a friend in the area to make the video to ascertain the facts.

  2. Those Afgans are in Pakistan they should go back to their country.

  3. One has to control the afghan-Pak border porosity intelligentlyto find out as to who is causing the trouble in the region beyond and through the local Talibans.

  4. Should also be installed on the eastern border with India. All of Pakistan’s entry points need to be secured. Keep up the good work guys!

  5. Good work… Keep it up guys…

  6. Good luck….

  7. If this system is installed at every ossible crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan then well done….

  8. Why is it not done on the eastern border too? Oh wait – because they are known as freedom fighters on that side of the coast.
