RAWALPINDI: The Communications Minister, Khan Abdus Sabur, yesterday opposed the inclusion of non-Muslims in the Muslim League.

The Minister told newsmen, prior to his departure for Dacca, that he also did not favour the idea of adopting the consultation of the political parties of USA for the Muslim League.

Mr Sabur stated how the membership of an organisation which, as its name suggests, is for the Muslims, could be open to non-Muslims.

Mr Sabur, however, suggested that the Muslim League constitution should be amended to bar Ministers from holding the important higher offices of the Muslim League. Ministers, he added, should be allowed to be members of working committees of the Provincial Muslim Leagues or similar smaller offices.

Mr Sabur stated that under the existing circumstances and with such low literacy among the masses, the US political parties’ system would not be successful in Pakistan. The people would not be able to follow that system, he asserted.—Agencies

The Allama … would be consulted on all important party matters, the acceptance of his advice being subject to the approval of the party’s administrative organs…. —Agencies
