LAHORE, Aug 31: One of the warring groups of the Pakistan Cycling Federation headed by Munawar Baseer has rejected the decision of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) arbitration committee under which previous elections of the federations have been declared null and void.

The group in a press statement said that they would not accept the decision of the arbitration committee as it was a mala fide one, claiming the previous elections were held in free and fair manner in presence of the representative of the Pakistan Olympic Association and the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).

“The issue raised by the former Pakistan Cycling Federation secretary Idris Haider Khawaja was resolved in the said meeting, but later on he objected and approached the POA for arbitration,” the statement added.

The group further said that they wouldn’t accept decision of the arbitration committee and this is the reason that they did not make any presentation in the first and second arbitration committees.
