Remembering national heroes
From the Newspaper | 1st September, 2012
DURING the last few months Pakistani media, especially electronic media, has given special air time to Bollywood. Indian movies and actors’ news have been given highlight in the news channels.
When Indian actor Rajesh Khanna died, Pakistani channels gave this news a lot of importance and every headline carried the news of the Indian actor’s death.
It would be better if Pakistani channels also air any news, reports regarding Pakistani heroes.
On Aug 20 the death anniversary of the Nishan-i-Haider recipient Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed passed but no Pakistani channel aired any reports. Only the social media was the place where some news regarding Rashid Minhas’s death anniversary was highlighted.

Thanks brother for this letter.
It looks like that Pakistani electronic media is paid by Indian Govt to air Bollywood news, Fashion shows, Concerts, etc; our media than does not have time left to air news about our Heroes.
I also blame Pakistani public who are now so engrossed in Bollywood show biz which I blame it to our media.
Shame on you Pakistanis.
