Hindus’ share in development

LAWLESSNESS, abductions and life threats, it seems, have compelled Hindus to think about abandoning their centuries-old homes and move to India, from a land that was created to safeguard a Muslim minority who felt insecure in a Hindu-dominated society.

Hindus and Sikhs were living here harmoniously with the local people when the concept of a pure Muslim homeland (Pakistan) had not been invented yet.

The Hindus successfully and effectively contributed in developing local businesses to make sure the easy supplement of various commodities to the people. Their valuable efforts in the development of a diversely rich civilisation cannot be ignored.

Government officials, as usual, are refuting these reports to hide their failure about the disgusting law and order situation.

Cant say about non muslims in pak and bangladesh but many muslims from non-muslim SAARC countries want to live in their respective countries.

Again, Indians who are flooding Dawn with negative views and generations old hatred toward the Pakistani people and nation. So many Pakistani-Hindus in Pakistan, mainly Sindh, are occupying top positions and living a very good life: when will Dawn tell its readers about them?

Landlords know that they can rule the country only as long there is chaos, uncertainty, and disturbance in the country. Things are going fine with the rulers. Now you can see that why the statement made by the commission, set up by the president, is correct!.

Nobody, not even Muslims, want to relocate to Pakistan. Even Kashmiris from other side of border have been trying to sneak back into India and start a life that will be safe, healthy and prosperous.

I don't see any hope for these Hindus to feel safe in Pakistan either now or in future. they need to rethink on their decision to keep clinging to a nation purely carved out on the basis of religion.

We should complete Partition by 1. relocating all non-Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh to the non-Muslim SAARC countries and 2. resettling all Muslims from non-Muslim SAARC countries in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Once the two steps listed above are completed the Islamic Republics of Pakistan and Bangladesh will be able to take advantage of the huge economies of the non-Muslim SAARC countries and not have to depend on the West or Saudi Arabia for handouts. They will also be able to fully implement the Arabic legal system of sharia fully.

Very backward thinking.....once you start dividing things like this (as only narrow minded person will think of) a stage can reach when division becomes solution for any differences. At this point you say hindus and muslims, next it will be shias and sunnis. The only criterea is when the difference becomes unbeearble. Please learn to be tolerant.
