Very well said. Secondly this Naresh could not say much about looks so he started talking about so called respect in the western world. I live in the west myself and Indian don't fare much better except in a few very small circles when it comes to respect. But this is an another subject matter. I can tell in a heart beat a Pakistani vs. Indian. Most Pakistanis have sharp features and have beautiful fair complexions, nothing like brown Indians as this Naresh guy has described his race. Just take a casual walk in one of the markets on the streets of Karachi, or Lahore or Quetta or Islamabad, the beauty commonly found on the streets will blow any indian delusion. Note, I am strictly talking about local Pakistani girls, not the ones whose parents have migrated from India.

i can't agree more;you just have to look at pakistan's history and realise the beautiful admixture of greek, persian, central asian and arab influence.we are as similar or disimilar as indi a and iran except sharing borders.however, part of the reason for indian films popularity is thay feel they co own the industry due to presence of the three khans

The fact that I can for the most part tell apart Pakistanis from Indians by the entire demeanor suggests that Pakistanis have now evolved into another distinct identity. The dialect, the clothing and the overall get up is now different. I am not sure though whats Ms. Kapoor had in mind when she said that she can pass for a Pakistani. Is it the language, looks or mannerism.

As an Indian, I have great respect for DAWN, but every time they bring this kind of useless news, they disappoint me and a large section of readers like me..I don't know how many of you will agree with me, but in India, people (specially girls, and even more specially Bollywood actresses) can do anything for publicity and now a days in India showing love for Pakistan and Pakistanis has became a publicity stunt for these Bollywood actors/actresses..It is not like that I (as an individual or many people like me) hate Pakistan or it's people, but we all know the real situation and relations between these two countries and so we should behave accordingly..By giving useless importance to these actressess DAWN is not only fulfilling their hunger for publicity but also is disappointing readers like me who visit this site for some good, impartial and quality journlism...

Well, given that her father's family orginates from Peshawar and her mother is Sindhi, its hardly a surprise. But then again, the north Indians and Pakistanis all look the same, ask any westerner. The mannerism may be different based on the amount of conservative or liberal influences.

Kareena is technically an ethnic Pakistan as her family belongs to Pakistan. I disagree with your ''general'' statements. i find Pakistani's look quite distinct from indians who have more of Dravidian undertone to their features and skin tone. The exception being Mohajir migrant refugees from india who live in Pakistan such as yourself. But most native Pakistani's have a distinct look which is easily discernable.

A pretty dumb comment, Not all Pakistanis and Indians are from Punjab or closer areas!!! The people of South India look very different from North West India or North East India let alone the western border of Pakistan. Both countries are huge with a huge mix of looks and both are "federations" of different ethnic background. In fact there are possibly no/few homogeneous countries in the world.

Majority of us belong to the same group called Indo-Aryan and Dravidian.
As far beautiful girls are concern.. Indians have them in plenty and so does Pakistan
Tell me how many Pakistani cricketers are white skin, they all look dark. We South Asians are same when it comes to looks, Some may be fair, and some may be wheatish but at the end of the day we all look from the ethnic group..

She is admitting that Pakistani women are fairer, whether Pakistanis are liked abroad or not is not the issue.
