KARACHI, Sept 3: Senator Shahi Syed, president of the Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh, met President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House on Monday.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Mr Syed said he informed the president about the killing of ANP workers and failure of police to arrest the killers.

He said President Zardari assured him that the killers would be arrested soon.

The senator said he told the president that `hired assassins’, and not the Taliban, were behind targeted killing of the ANP activists in Karachi.
