Other provinces should not interfere in Sindh’s affairs: Malik

KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that the local government issue is a provincial matter and that other provinces should not interfere in Sindh’s internal affairs.

While speaking to the media at Karachi airport, Rehman Malik said that the PPP and the MQM have both received a mandate from the people, which should be respected.

He said that if a bill is passed in the Punjab Assembly, nobody from Sindh, Balochistan or Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa gives a reaction to it.

Speaking on other issues he said the upcoming general elections will be held on time.

When addressing the recent visit of the Indian foreign minister, he said that people of both countries will benefit from normalising of relations.
