Global competitive report

September 15, 2012 by From the Newspaper

I WOULD like to compliment Mubarak Zeb Khan on his write-up ‘Global competitive ranking’ (Sept 10). In the context of the Global Competitive Report of the World Economic Forum, he has rightly highlighted the factors adversely affecting Pakistan’s competitiveness.

As noted by Mr Khan, the report has ranked the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan 55, as compared to 70 last year.

It is good news, indeed. I wish other government institutions also start showing such improvement.
