After the nothing-extraordinary inclusion of film actor Shaan in the list of TV anchors, we were all waiting to see who comes next.

Now the wait is over and it’s the filmi and real life couple Rambo and Sahiba who have hopped onto the TV bandwagon. They host a morning show on which they do what, basically, all the other morning programmes are meant to do. So let’s not talk about them. Now the list of TV and film celebrities who have become interviewers (and in some cases sermonizers) is as long as the wall of China. The thing is that no one stands out. What these TV personalities need to do is to at least have a script and go by it, because among other things the one victim of these ‘extempore performances’ is the Urdu language. Please get someone to make them speak correct, if not proper, Urdu.

Just as these lines are being written, two more showbiz celebrities have become TV hosts: film actor Babar and pop singer Rabi Pirzada. The wall of China is now as thin as a rake.
