LAHORE, Sept 16: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan claims a large number of youngsters has gathered under the banner of JI and will do their utmost to bring about a `real’ change in the country.

Speaking at a rally organised by JI youth wing (Shabab-i-Milli) at Punjab University’s New Campus on Sunday, he denounced preparation of a blasphemous film by a Zionist allegedly under the US support. He lamented that the entire Muslim world was agitating against the film while Pakistan’s rulers did not even take up issues relating to desecration of the Holy Quran and blasphemy of the Holy Prophet.

He said the US claimed to be a civilised nation, had stooped to insulting other religions and civilisations. “It has proved itself to be the biggest enemy of Islam and the Muslims and it is patronising anti-Islam activities.”

The JI chief said the US was now trapped in Afghanistan and its attacks on the Islamic civilisation implied that it was nearing its end.

Hasan reiterated his demand for involving MQM’s federal and provincial ministers in the investigation into Karachi factory inferno.

He alleged that such a big incident could not occur without the will and the support of the MQM. He said a man having British citizenship had no right to take part in Pakistan’s politics and the people would not tolerate politics of violence any more.

Addressing the rally, JI Secretary-General Liaquat Baloch said the US `slaves’ ruling the Arab world met a humiliating fate. He said Pakistan was also on the threshold of a revolution.

JI Lahore chief Amirul Azeem and Shabab-i-Milli president Attiqur Rahman also spoke on the occasion.
