LAHORE, Sept 16: The Pakistan People’s Party alleges that the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz government in Punjab has given five flop projects to the province during its four-year rule.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, PM’s adviser Fawad Chaudhry alleged that the PML-N government wasted huge public money on Sasti Roti, Green Cab, Daanish School, Ashiyana Housing and Laptops schemes while the Bus Rapid Transit Project would be the sixth one in the fifth year in power.

Claiming that the bus project would consume around Rs70 billion against its initial estimated cost of Rs11 billion, he alleged Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had outsourced the contract for supply of steel bars for the project to his son-in-law’s mill.

He urged the apex court to take notice of the waste of public money in Punjab.

Asked why he and his party were not moving court on the issue if they had sufficient evidence to substantiate their case, he said they did not expect any relief from the judiciary.
