when will we learn. there is a blast in karachi killing 8 and no one from the current govt even bothers to comment. it doesnt make big news as we are all so accustomed to reading such headlines.. would such writers who continue to criticise the promising PTI(that is far better than any other party) be rather well off with the current bunch of crook until one day their loved ones are victims of these suicide blasts. would such writers then wake up to the reality

Imran Khan has no chrisma like ZA Buhutto once had. He is still a novice in politics and cannot deliver a good speech in public like Bhutto used to deliver. Equally he is not a man of caliber and has an average mind like other politicians in country and is a hopeless person. Hardly his party will win 10 percent of seats in coming elections, I predict.

@observer I disagree with you. People make mistake and Imran is not excluded (after all he is a human being) but I honour his courage to speak about his mistake and clarify. He is a man of dignity who stood for a cause and stood by it for a very long time. My fellow folks seem to forget his stance which he is stick to since 9/11 "WAR IS NOT AN OPTION" but "WINNING THE HEARTS AND MIND OF PEOPLE IS THE ONLY OPTION TO WIN THIS WAR". Can anyone disagree on this? Plus as far as politician leaving PTI is concerned, I am not bothered about it at all. There were people criticising him why he is letting so many people into his party including bad eggs. Which he, rightly so, clarified that it can't be stopped being a political party but he also said, as the writer highlighted, ticket is not guaranteed and you will see selfish people leaving the party very soon (over and over again on media). Now it's happening and people are criticising him for that as well. I think people of Pakistan need issue to remain happy and live with. They are not looking for their solutions. I blame our media also which is basically turning our society into issue driven society and none of the media channel is pushing towards the solution but creating new if there is none left. I understand being critical is good for cause but criticism has to be constructive otherwise it can create chaos.

Dear Real Pakistani I will sure vote for Imran, but only because others are hopeless, not because he is a great political leader. I agree with Dr. AQ Khan that Imram lacks political maturity.

I agree with Real Pakistani, Muhammad and AQ Khan. every other party had their ride. they were immature in the beginning and they learnt but in a corrupt way. They started with corruption and they improved in that way. I see Imran as a great leader (not political yet) and I will definitely try him not the ones already been tried.

For pakistan it is better to have an honest and pakistan sincere person at the top then to have 2 proven failed parties and leaders. Give PTI and Imran a chance, if he just stops the land mafia, exam mafia, forest mafia, government loot mafia, railway mafia, steel mill mafia, fuel mafia then 30% of the government lost revenue will go for pakistan's benefit. Just by having one inccoruptible person. who cares who he supports, join him, leave him-he is the man for the hour, he should be voted in.

he is far more mature than anyone else in the country. The only way you can figure that out if you see him giving interviews to the foreign media. He seems like the only one can represent us in the whole world and maintain and bring back our dignity we have lost as a nation (partly because of us and most because of the corrupt ruling mafia). As long as you are following ARY, GEO and low standard media who is getting dictation from our neighbouring country...who is more concerned about creating issues out of nothing instead of proposing a solution to them .... In Pakistan environment it is not possible to fight two establised(although incompetent and corrupt) parties symaltanously. In this election PTI should go for alliance with party closer to its manifesto. In the next election after five years PTI will be able to stand all alone.

There is no charge of corruption agaist Sh Rasid during his long political carrier. It is big asset for a politician.

Demonizing Musharraf unashamedly for all the wrong reasons seems to be a habit now of people who only think on parochial lines. The truth is Imran has hijacked almost all what Musharraf stood for and delivered on his watch. Had Imran been sensible to lend support to Musharraf's efforts , Pakistan would have never fallen into the mess that we are now in after Musharraf. But then egoist and selfish Imran will continue to do what he did with Miandad and also treat Pakistan itself as Mama Khanum Hospital

Country is more important than the party principals. When a party needs to bring unity, it is alright to break principal. When a party had made a mistake a U-turn is the best thing. Any ruling party must be open to accepting the opposition and must reconcile. Please start thinking like a mature nation and think about the progress of the country for the common person.

It pains me to see that in this day and age there are still people who find nothing wrong with the idea of people ruling over them through the power of gun. Seems it will take us a long time before we can call ourselves a civilized society.

Imran Khan makes mistakes every so often. Latest one is joining hands with likes of Sheikh Rashid. PPP made a similar mistake by accepting PML-Q as their coalition partners. At the veey least, PPP should have asked PML-Q leadership to condemn in clear terms siding with Pervez Musharraf before making them a coalition partner. Where are the principles in politics?

My dad died about 20 years back and was cricket fanatic. He always said about Imran Khan's decision, that he makes terrible mistakes, but he is very lucky, which covers up his wrong decisions. In-depth critical analysis of some famous wins (cricket) will identify those errors, starting from winning the toss and making wrong decision to insistence on including few players in the team. I wish and pray that his luck continues to support him, despite political errors.

he must be damn lucky that he won quite a few test series abroad. He was lucky that his decision of spotting talent like Inzamam, Waseem and Waqar paid off. he must be that his idea of Shaukat Khanam is also achieved ... I can see the war that musharraf was responsible for has been hijacked by Imran, right? Your comment makes sense. Imran should not have opposed Musharraf, but joined hands with him. If he had done so, Musharraf and Imran could still be in power today, and Pakistan could be in much better shape today.

Imran Khan is still immature politically. He has more fans than followers. People still see him as a charismatic cricket captain in a cricket ground but politics in Pakistan is altogether a different ball game.
