Vacant Pepco posts

Published September 21, 2012

I WOULD like to draw the attention of the prime minister and the federal minister for water and power that the posts of managing director Pepco and general manager human resources are lying vacant since the past three to four months which has put the decision-making process in the power sector at a standstill.

Besides national level policy matters, there are thousands of cases relating to power wing officers with regard to postings, inter-company transfers, etc., pending due to the non-availability of Pepco’s managing director and human resource general manager. Owing to these posts lying vacant, many employees have not been able to get their salary etc.

The authorities concerned should fill these posts at the earliest.
