Fishing boat mystery

Published September 25, 2012

THIS refers to the news about a boat carrying 42 fishermen which capsized, leaving behind many casualties. Normally a fishing boat never carries as many ‘fishermen’ as reported.

A fishing trawler is generally manned by not more than 15 crew on a manually hauled trip, whereas as many as a crew of eight fishermen are employed on fishing vessels which are mechanically equipped to haul catches during cruises.

The authorities must investigate into the mystery behind the tragic incident and find out the facts that led to the disaster due to overloading of the unfortunate fishing boat and the real purpose behind so many passengers embarking it.
