QUETTA, Sept 25: Provincial Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fatah Muhammad has asked government officials to perform their duties in accordance with rules and regulations.

The chief secretary was addressing a workshop organised for accounting officers here on Tuesday.

Mr Babar said that Balochistan’s progress depended on financial discipline and implementation of rules in all government departments.

He said it was the responsibility of government officers to work in accordance with rules and regulations without succumbing to political pressure.

The chief secretary praised the performance of Balochistan’s chapter of the NAB and said the organisation was playing a positive and constructive role in eliminating corruption from government departments.
