PESHAWAR, Sept 29: The students of Government Technical College, Kohat Road, have expressed concern over the change of uniform and raise in fee.

The students, in a joint statement here on Saturday, said the college’s uniform used to be qameez, shalwar but now the administration had changed it to trouser and shirt, which the student were not ready to wear.

The students’ leaders Hassan Khwaja, Sadam Mohmand, Wajid Khan and Tariq Afridi, said the college administration had also hiked the fee of different kinds and made it difficult for the students to continue their studies. “We cannot purchase the uniform and pay the enhanced fee,” they said and added only option left with them was to leave the college.

They demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister and minister for technical education to take notice of their problems and remove the unrest among them.
