Son kills father

RAWALPINDI, Sept 30: A man was shot dead by his elder son, over a petty dispute in the Waris Khan Police area on Sunday, police said.

Ghulam Abbas, a taxi driver who married a second time and had been residing with his wife, was gunned down by his elder son Bilal Abbas, over a family dispute.

Police said Ghulam Abbas had two sons from his first wife — Bilal Abbas 16, the elder son was annoyed with his father over his second marriage and used to quarrel with his father.

After midnight, Bilal Abbas along with two other persons came to his father’s house and shot him dead as he appeared on the scene. Later the alleged killer escaped from the scene. — Staff Reporter
