Karachi’s problem a mixed plate
WE were reminded by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan: “In May alone, as many as 250 people were murdered in Karachi.”
The constitution gives us the right of life but not our democracy.
A simple principle of political science teaches us that whatever happens in a country, whether good or bad, the government of the day is solely responsible for it.
For the sake of continuity, the bad may be distasteful for many.
I also mean that we have not been told the legal status of all Karachi killers ever since the law and order situation deteriorated many, many years ago.
The problem of Karachi is a mixed plate. It is not going to go away unless the people in authority at more than one level decide better and now. This requires reviewing of not only their policies, but also of their execution system.
Any misconceiving of the problem can’t construct a reliable solution.

In my view the problem of Karachi is not a mixed plate, it is a gumbo!
the main problem of karachi is that no one sincerely wants to solve its problems.
Heroin addicts will do anything for their drug. They will rob people on the streets, perform acts of prostitution, steal cars or even do contract murders (as well as defend their drug turf). So it goes with out saying really that a rise in crime is directly proportional to a rise in heroin addiction.
Let Karachi be governed by it’s elected people and than see the result.
We will see more than half the killings go away from karachi as soon as the PPP govt. is replaced with anyone other than them. All bloodshed is seen in all their three govts. and will always come back as they come back in power.
the problem with karachi is that no one wants to own its responsibility ie PPP;MQM;ANP with the result the criminal elements are taking the advantage
It seems a hypocritical environment in the country, no one addresses root causes of sectarian and political targeted killings. Media seems under control of pressure groups. Remove such comments that address burning issues.
