PESHAWAR: Three security forces personnel were injured in a mine blast in the Mohmand tribal region's Baizai Tehsil on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

Government sources said security personnel were on a routine patrol  in the area situated near the Pak-Afghan border when the vehicle they were traveling in struck a mine planted near a security checkpost.

Three security personnel were injured as a result of the blast. They were airlifted  to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH)  in Peshawar via a helicopter.

The condition of one of the injured security men was reported as critical, government sources said.
