LAHORE, Oct 4: Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that a Bangladeshi-model government, although unannounced, is functioning in the country.

“An unannounced Bangladeshi-model government is functioning in the country as decisions are taken somewhere else and the parliament is helpless. The opposition also wants such kind of a government.

“When I was disqualified, parliament did nothing and now there is of no use shedding tears on disqualification of other parliamentarians for holding dual nationality,” he said while talking to reporters at the airport here on Thursday.  He said parliament had failed to exercise its rights. It should have taken a stand when “I was shown the door”.—Staff Reporter
