QUETTA: The Medical Officer of District Hospital Mastung Dr Abdul Hamid Shahwani was shot dead by unknown assailants in Mastung, DawnNews reported on Saturday.

Dr Shahwani was travelling back to his home from his clinic when unidentified gunmen on motorbikes opened fire on his car, leaving him dead and his bodyguard injured.

The incident took place in the Killi Lika area of Mastung district.
