KARACHI, Oct 6: The two-day Sindh Open and Junior Swimming Championship for boys will be held at Karachi Gymkhana pool from Oct 20, Sindh Swimming Association (SSA) announced on Friday.

Champion swimmer of Sindh, Mazhar Naqvi, will be the star attraction in the event since he bagged as many as eight gold medals and three silver medals in last year’s event.

Besides Sindh, Mazhar has also been making his mark at the national level by grabbing a silver medal in 200 metres free-style of the national championship.

The event will be contested in 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 years age groups and Open events in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, Individual medley and medley relays.

Last date of entry is Oct 12. Entry forms are available at the Karachi Gymkhana. —APP
