ISLAMABAD: Talal Akbar Bugti, leader of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) said in his press conference here on Monday that Balochistan requires an Imam Khomeini, adding that corruption was occurring in the name of weapons in Balochistan under the very nose of the President House, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives at a press conference, Bugti said that his party shall form a grand alliance against the corrupt democracy in the country.

He alleged that Interior Minister Rehman Malik is obtaining billions of rupees from extortion from smugglers’ weapons.

He also alleged that four attackers from the Mastung attack had been arrested but the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) released the attackers.

Furthermore, Bugti added that peaceful relations were not wrong as some Baloch leaders are also covertly involved in spreading unrest in the province.

Earlier, Bugti had formed an alliance with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) which won him the staunch support of the PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif for promoting the Balochistan issue at the centre.

Sharif had also demanded that the secret agencies and security forces must be withdrawn from Balochistan in order to start the process of holding transparent and fair elections as their presence in the province could manipulate the process.
