KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari, who is co-chairperson of PPP, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah condemned the firing at Khairpur meeting.

President Zardari ordered the authorities to provide the best possible medical treatment to the injured.

The chief minister declared a day of mourning on Monday.

The party’s provincial information secretary, Waqar Mehdi, said all activities of the party would remain suspended on the day. MQM Chief Altaf Hussain also condemned the attack.—APP
