Japanese team sees business potential
KARACHI, Oct 8: The first Japanese business delegation in over 10 years has expressed a positive impression about the country.
The 23-member delegation comprises C-level executives and top management of Japanese companies from different sectors many of whom were first time visitors to Pakistan.
The Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro) arranged the visit. The delegation first visited Japanese pavilion at Expo 2012 and then met local business leaders of different associations and senior officials of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
“I think that Pakistan is very capable for business investments and it’s a potential business hub for the foreign investors,” said Daisuke Hiratsuka, Executive Vice President, JETRO, Tokyo.
The Japanese delegation also visited the Toyota plant at Indus Motor Company, Port Qasim Authority (PQA) and Bin Qasim Industrial Park.
The delegation will meet President and then proceed to Sialkot and Lahore on the last leg of their visit.
