SUKKUR, Oct 10: Activists of different nationalist parties took out a joint procession in Thull town of district Jacobabad on Wednesday in protest against the Sindh People’s Local Government Act-2012

Activists of Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party, Sindh United Party, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Jeay Sindh Mahaz and Awami Tehreek took out the procession from the main bazaar to the press club of Thull. Abdul Ghafoor Buriro, Amar Bhatti, Josh Buriro, Muhammad Ishaque Soomro and others led the protest.

Speaking to the protesters, the leaders strongly criticised the PPP government in Sindh, saying that the act had been passed to appease its ally in the Sindh government.

The disputed local government system would divide Sindh into two parts, they warned.
