US, Taliban and school

REFERENCE the picture on page one (Oct 9), showing an American-built school in Azad Jammu and Kashmir with students lined up.

The US, enemy of Islam, is building schools in Pakistan; Taliban, Islam’s friends, are blowing up schools.

We rather have such enemies than such friends.

Would the learned and pious ulema of the Defence of Pakistan Council comment?

Education leads to an open mind. This is an anathema for those who use dogma to justify everything. So they will burn schools until schools serve their narrow purposes. Has a Madrassa ever attracted their wrath?

A misunderstanding exists that when the US leaves Afghanistan what will happen of Pakistan? The Pakistani Talibans may go out of job, Afghan Taliban may return to power and security situation will return to what it was before the Afghan invasion.
