KARACHI, Oct 14: Over the past several years, China has excelled in almost all fields and this is why the Chinese language has gained so much importance, Karachi University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Qaiser has said.
Speaking at the launching of book “Chinese Made Easy” written by a former Karachi University student and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Singapore Syed Hasan Jawed, Prof Qaiser said that Pakistan and China were enjoying friendly relations for many years and the ever expanding cooperation in multifaceted fields between the two countries reflected the bilateral goodwill from the people and governments of the two countries. The vice chancellor appreciated Mr Jawed’s efforts for making a difficult language easier for its learners.
The book is said to be an easy guide to learn the Chinese language.
KU registrar Dr Nasiruddin Khan said that the book would be helpful for those who travelled to China for various purposes. A member of the KU syndicate, Ghazal Khwaja Humayun, hosted the event.
All KU deans and a large number of faculty members and students attended the ceremony.—PPI
