ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Tuesday said that the tragic incident of Malala Yousafzai has united different segments of society and isolated those who are in favour of Taliban.

Speaking to the Pakistan Television (PTV), he said the government, with the consultation of armed forces, will take the decision of operation keeping in view law and order situation of that particular area of the country, adding that “it does not need any excuse to launch operation.”

He said that the government or armed forces could not fight alone against this extremist mindset and their ideology, adding “civil society and people from all segments of society should stand shoulder to shoulder with the government to eliminate this menace.”
