LAHORE, Oct 15: Test wicket-keeper/batsman Kamran Akmal was named captain as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced a seven-member squad for the Super Sixes tournament to be held in Hong Kong on Oct 27 and 28.

Other members of the team are Umar Akmal, Awais Zia, Hammad Azam, Yasir Shah, Junaid Khan and Tanvir Ahmed.

Shafiq Ahmed is the manager of the team.

Pakistan play arch-rivals India, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands in pool ‘B’ of the eight-team tournament, with Australia, England, South Africa and Hong Kong in pool ‘A’.

Pakistan beat England in last year’s final to claim their fifth title in the tournament, first held in 1992.—Sports Reporter
