QUETTA, Oct 15: A guard of Balochistan Food Minister Asfandyar Khan Kakar and two attackers were killed in an exchange of fire at the residence of the minister on Monday night, sources said.

Armed men attacked the minister’s house in the Chaman Housing Scheme, killing one guard. Other guards fired back, killing two attackers.

The deceased guard was identified as Mohammad Sohaib. The names of the attackers could not be ascertained.

The minister was not present in the house at the time of the attack.
