KARACHI: Four people were killed in different incidents as violence continued unabated in Karachi, DawnNews reported on Tuesday.

Two bodies were found near Crown cinema on Mauripur Road in Karachi's Lyari area.

A trussed up body of a man, bearing torture marks, was found in Lyari's Bihar Colony area. The deceased was identified as 65-year-old Javed Iqbal who was a renowned former footballer.

In another incident, gunmen opened fire on a car in Karachi's New Town area injuring one person.

The injured person was shifted to a nearby private hospital where he succumbed to his wounds during treatment.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayers for two of the four political workers killed on Monday in Scout Colony off Abul Hassan Ispahani Road within the remit of Karachi's Mobina Town police station, would be offered today.
