LAHORE, Oct 16: Rail traffic on Jaccobabad-Sibi section will be restored on Wednesday (today) after repair and rehabilitation of the track damaged by floodwater on Sept 9.

A Railways spokesman said on Tuesday the Jaffar Express would now resume its operation between Rawalpindi and Quetta.

“The Jaffar Express will leave Rawalpindi for Quetta on Oct 17, while the train will depart Quetta for Rawalpindi on Oct 18,” said the spokesman.

Meanwhile, PR General Manager (Operations) Junaid Qureshi and railways police Inspector-General Syed Ibne Husain paid a surprise visit to Lahore station on Tuesday.

They inspected different platforms and the facilities available there for the passengers. They also visited the newly-constructed guest room for the passengers of Business Express.
