KARACHI, Oct 18: Five ships carrying containers, rice, urea and diesel oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Dubai Express, Nedlloyd Barentiz, San Francisco, Infinite Wisdom, Ana Dorothea, Harsanadi and Al Salam-II, were occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, urea, chemical and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 81,258 tons comprising 61,560 tons of import and 19,698 tons of export was handled.
