KARACHI: Pakistan Army joined Khan Research Laboratories atop the Pakistan Premier Football League table on Saturday after a 1-0 win over Habib Bank Limited.

Mubashir Ahmed’s sixth minute strike at the Army Stadium in Rawalpindi helped Army move to 31 points from 15 games, level with KRL although the defending champions have two games in hand.

In Lahore, Wapda were held to a 1-1 draw by Afghan FC at the Railways Football Stadium after Jadeed Khan’s goal in the ninth minute cancelled out Zulfiqar Shah’s goal four minutes earlier. Wapda moved to 28 points from 15 games while Afghan FC have 11 from 12.

Elsewhere in Faisalabad, Muslim FC’s 1-0 victory against PMC Athletico came courtesy Saeed Ahmed’s 86th minute goal as they moved to 24 points from 16 games so far.
