QUETTA: Balochistan doctors’ strike against the target killing and abduction of doctors in the province entered its seventh day on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.
General operation theatres and out-patient departments in state-owned hospitals and clinics remained completely closed.
The patients continued to experience severe difficulties in obtaining medical assistance due to the doctors’ strike.
The privately-owned hospitals and clinics experienced a sharp rise in the numbers of patients due to the strike in state-owned hospitals. Underprivileged patients bore the brunt of the strike as they were unable to bear the expenses of private healthcare institutions.
The doctors demanded the immediate recovery of their kidnapped colleague, the renowned Dr Saeed Ahmed Khan.
