RAWALPINDI, Oct 25: The City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) on Thursday imposed section 144 CrPc in the limits of Rawalpindi district, for the three days of Eidul Azha.

This section prohibits the establishment of camps for collection of animal hides, assembly of five or more persons at a public place, except funeral processions, prayer congregations in mosques, Imambargahs and other recognised places of worship.

In a notification, the District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saqib Zafar said that political parties, organisations and groups should not collect animal hides without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from CDGR.

He said that banned outfits in the country would not be allowed to install banners, distribute pamphlets and send SMS messages for the collection of hides. —A Reporter
