On October 22, 2012, a total of 24,200 Pakistani youth stood up in the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore to form the world’s largest “human national flag”, smashing the 2007 record set by 21,726 people in Hong Kong.

Starting a weekend that was full of record-breaking feats by Pakistanis, a total of 42,813 people in the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, sang the national anthem together, smashing the previous best of 15,243 held by India.

Twelve year-old Mehek Gul achieves a new world record for arranging the pieces on a chessboard in 45 seconds, using only one hand at the week-long Youth Festival in Lahore, on October 21, 2012. She was awarded a certificate for her achievement and an entry into the Guinness Book of Records by the visiting officals of the Guinness World Records.

Saddi Muhammad secured a place in the Guinness Book for using his moustache to pull a 1.7 tonne pickup truck a distance of 60.3 metres at the Youth Festival in Lahore on October 21, 2012.

This is a human mosaic of the Shahi Qila (Lahore Fort) and the official announcement of the new record was made by a representative from the Guinness Book of Records.
