Amitabh Bachchan was overwhelmed after meeting a fan from eastern European nation Moldova, who waited 27 years to meet the Hindi movie megastar.

According to a report in Times of India.

"Vera from Moldova waited for 27 years to meet me... finally did Thursday with 27 roses and a host of gifts... persistance never fails," Amitabh tweeted.

The 70-year-old says he's at loss of words to see the love and affection that people show for him.

"I never have sufficient verbology to respond to such acts of love... so humbled and stumped for words...!!" he added.

Moldova is a landlocked nation located between Romania and Ukraine.

Talking about another crazy fan, Big B wrote: "Another Russian girl became a drug dealer to earn money to travel to see me in India... got caught and is in jail... aahh! Painful."

"I had sent her a video message through a TV crew not to have done this... had she expressed it to me could have found a way," he added.
