KARACHI, Oct 26: A trader was gunned down in an Orangi Town area on Friday.

Police said that gunmen riding a motorbike targeted Rasool Khan, 36, near Qureshi Market in Orangi Town’s Sector 111/2 within the remit of the Iqbal Market police station.

The victim suffered five bullet wounds and died on the spot. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The victim was a resident of Toori Bangash Colony. He was associated with the business of selling electronic items on instalments.

The police said that he had no affiliation with any political or religious party, but he used to have regular altercations with his clients over payment issues.

He was father of seven and originally hailed from Afghanistan.

Tailor shot dead

A tailor was gunned down outside his house in Korangi on Friday.

Police said that assailants fired at Altaf Baig, 38, when he stepped out of his house in Korangi’s Sector 51-B within the remit of the Zaman Town police station.
