Five children killed in Haripur accident

PESHAWAR: Five children were killed and 12 others injured when the van they were travelling in met with an accident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province's Haripur district on Monday, DawnNews reported.

The van, carrying students of a seminary, was on its way to Islamabad when and its tie-rod broke and it overturned.

The accident occurred as the van reached the district's Sarai Saleh area around 8 a.m.

Five children died on the spot whereas 12 were wounded.

The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Name any unsavory happening in which the Islamic Republic Of Pakistan does not have the worst record.Be it abuse of women, children, corruption, extortion, murder, target killings, hatred, bigotry, killing and burying girls alive, bad governance, ethnic violence, religious sectarian killings and violence, law and order, defiance of courts and court orders, political duplicty, rape, prostituion of peronal values and conscience for personal gains by bureaucrats, generals, police officers, bankers, the list goeson and on and on.
