ISLAMABAD, Oct 30: The Ministry of National Heritage and Integration has renamed the National Language Authority to National Language Promotion Department (NLPD). Fifteen members of the advisory board of NLPD have also been informed via a notification.

Administrative posts of NLPD have also been renamed. The chairman will henceforth be called director general and secretary as executive director.

Members of the advisory board include Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Women University Dr Samina Amin Qadir, Bahauddin Zakarya University’s Dean of Urdu Department, Dr Rubina Tareen, Dr Tabassum Kashmiri, Salahuddin Ahmed, Dr Uzma Farman of Karachi University, and Dr Yousuf Khushk of Shah Abdul Latif University.
